The Work of Jon Brenner
THE WORK OF JON BRENNER: A HIDDEN LIFE THAT'S ALWAYS BEEN RIGHT OUT THERE
Featuring Jon Brenner & Elizabeth Faye
Jon Brenner, composer, Bainbridge Island resident and frequent BPA contributor, discusses his life and music with good friend and musical colleague Elizabeth Faye. Jon’s career spans two decades and multiple musical genres, including surf, electronic dance music, early Renaissance music, Baroque music, opera, minimalism, and classical counterpoint.
Jon and Elizabeth share wine and laughs (some intentional, many inadvertent) while opening doors into Jon’s various compositions and experiences, and tying his life and times to music passages that will surprise you.

ELIZABETH FAYE
A classically-trained pianist and cellist, Elizabeth Faye played in community theatre and orchestras as well as accompanying glee and choir clubs from age seven on. After developing a career as a librarian and raising four children, Elizabeth decided “if not now, when?” in 2013 and jumped headlong back into musical theatre, music directing BPA’s A Christmas Story and Xanadu, Tick Tick Boom at the Jewel Box, and Evita at Ovation! She has also played keys in BPA’s Matilda, Big Fish, “Mr. Anderson and Friends,” Little Mermaid, Amadeus, Mary Poppins, Hair, The Drowsy Chaperone, Side by Side by Sondheim, and Spamalot, frequently wearing a bejeweled tiara. She has research film librarian credits on Prince of Egypt and Road to El Dorado. Elizabeth enjoys her amazing friends and family, the outdoors, horses, collecting refrigerator magnets, Oxford commas, and traveling.
